March 13th, 2020, Oklahoma City: Notice to Family Members of Veterans Center Residents. Due to the risk posed by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), beginning tomorrow evening, Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 11:00 p.m, all visitor access will be suspended until further notice in our seven Oklahoma Veteran Centers. Exceptions will be considered in compassion cases only, meaning that the Veteran’s passing is imminent and the Veteran is in receipt of palliative or hospice care.
We will be implementing video capabilities so that you can communicate with your loved one. Visitation restirctions will be lifted as soon as possible when consisten with publuc health guidance. Family members should expect letters containing additional information.
An Oklahoma Veterans Center is a long-term, skilled nursing care facility for Veterans that is operated by the State of Oklahoma and approved by the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs. Oklahoma Veterans Centers are inspected and licensed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Director of Homes
Shawn currently serves as the Director of Homes for the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs. He began his career with the ODVA in May 2015. He holds a Bachelors degree in Biological Health Sciences and is a licensed Long Term Care Administrator.
