OKNG Delivers Water

Last week Oklahoma National Guard Soldiers from the 180th Cavalry Regiment, McAlester and 279th Infantry Regiment, Sand Springs, brought Load Handling System Compatible Water Tank Racks (HIPPOs) to the Talihina Veterans Center in Talihina after the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) found the town's water to be contaminated after testing. Thanks to the quick response by the Oklahoma National Guard, water was pumped into the Center until the town's water source was deemed safe. The Talihina Veterans Center has over 100 Veteran residents who relied on bottled water until the issue was resolved.
